Today Clemens talks to Tom Wetzel. Tom's 14 hour adventure on the 10th of May was one of the biggest flights ever completed by a junior pilot. On that day, several other pilots completed very large flights, including 1649km by Mathias Schunk.
These flights were only possible because of superb wave and ridge conditions due to southern 'Föhn' winds.
As usual, tune in on Apple Podcast, follow Flight Club on Spotify or use your favourite podcast provider to stay up to date with the latest gliding stories.
Leave Tom some likes on his flight and hear you next week for episode #7.
